Why Are So Many People Quitting WoW? The Answer Is Simple.

Recently, Activision Blizzard announced a large drop in World of Warcraft subscriptions. There's been lots of speculation why, but no definitive answer. While it can't necessarily be proven what's exactly responsible, I think it's safe to say the answer is a lot simpler than most people make it out to be. The sky is not falling, and WoW is not going anywhere.

Why Mists of Pandaria Is Not Killing Your WoW Guild

Recently, WoW Insider posted a response to a reader submitted question: why are so many guilds dying in MoP? Many readers replied, blaming raid finder for taking away the "good old days" of raiding and "killing their guilds". This is a bunch of baloney, and I'm going to tell you why.

3 World of Warcraft Things You Probably Don’t Know About

I have been playing World of Warcraft since Vanilla in 2006. It’s a really great game that holds thousands of features and new things for everyone to discover. Yes, despite years of playing, the game still surprises a lot of players with loads of new discoveries. Some veterans may find these a little too obvious, but to newbies, some of these tips may be good finds. Take for example the map of Denmark, which appears on the globe in the Mists of Pandaria logo. Yes, Denmark quietly sneaked its own way inside the World of Warcraft. I bet you didn’t know that!

10 Suggestions For Improving WoW: Mists of Pandaria

The "daily grind" of Mists of Pandaria feels like less of a grind than previous expansions. By varying the daily quests and providing a wide array of new types of content to choose from, Blizzard has done a great job keeping World of Warcraft fresh. Pet battles, scenarios, raid finder, and crop farming are welcome new additions to the game. MoP heroic dungeons are more forgiving than their Cataclysm counterparts, lessening the frustration of end-game gear progression. While I have no complaints at this time, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Here are 10 ideas which I think would help keep WoW interesting in MoP and future expansions.

My 5 Favorite Things About WoW: Mists of Pandaria

Upon the launch of MoP, I did something I've never done before at the beginning of an expansion. When WotLK came out, I went straight to leveling my Paladin main character from 70 to 80, putting off leveling a Death Knight for awhile. During Cataclysm I started out leveling my rogue from 80 to 83 but quickly returned to my Paladin, reaching level 85 soon after. Much later on I tried leveling a worgen and goblin.

When MoP came out, I did something completely different. I immediately began leveling a monk. After reaching level 75, only then did I finally begin my journey into the Jade Forest on my Paladin. Experiencing both the new leveling game as well as the expansion content gave me a pretty good feel of what's been greatly improved about World of Warcraft in this expansion.

Why AOE Looting in WoW: Mists of Pandaria Is The Best New Feature

Mists of Pandaria will be coming out in a few months, and with it comes a huge upgrade to the way you obtain your loot from mobs. Instead of having to loot each mob individually, you'll be able to click one corpse and receive all of your loot from mobs nearby. Other MMOs have enjoyed this feature for awhile, and it's definitely been a long awaited feature for World of Warcraft.

Finding Your Own End Game Goals In World of Warcraft

After reaching the level cap, most people think raiding is the only way to progress their character. While raiding is generally accepted as WoW's end game, it's definitely not the only goal you can reach for once you're at max level. Raiding is only one aspect of the end game, and it's not the only way you can find ways to progress your character in WoW.

5 Reasons Why I Don't Raid Anymore in World of Warcraft

I used to raid. I used to raid A LOT. The camaraderie of a good group working together to take down difficult challenges can be extremely enjoyable and rewarding. There's a price to be paid in order to get that far, though – a price I am no longer willing to pay. Having started a casual leveling guild recently, and being asked "do you guys raid?" every so often, I had imagined that with so many people asking, surely we could get a raid together. However, I quickly learned that nothing could be farther from the truth.
